Property Editor
The Property Editor is a vector based, flexible drawing tool designed to help users create service maps and share them quickly with clients and staff. Once a customer has agreed to the proposed services, these maps become the basis for the CrewVision dispatch system.
When transitioning from the Map Browser to the Property Editor, the system seamlessly opens the same map that is being viewed in the Map Browser for the selected property in the Property Editor.
The user is currently viewing the "Summer Inventory" map in the Map Browser for a specific property, the Property Editor will automatically open with the "Summer Inventory" map selected and displayed for that property.
Title Bar Area
The title bar area of the Property Editor is the main messaging system while the Property Editor is running. The area is not only designed to display the Property Title but also help guide the user with their tasks.
Map Area
The Map Area of the Property Editor is designed to focus the user to focus their work within the External Boundary of the Property, CrewVision does this by darkening out the rest of the viewable area and only allowing editing within the External Boundary.
External Property Boundaries
The outline of the nearest property boundary within a 1000-meter range is displayed while creating or editing boundaries. In the property editor page, the nearest property boundary is displayed without clearing the inner map area.
We have implemented boundary overlap validation for both adding and editing properties to prevent overlapping boundaries.
Creating a Property:
The first step in creating a Property in CrewVision, is to input a valid Google Maps validated address from the Map Browser screen. Once the address has been created, the User can proceed to Property Mapping
Once the address has been added, the user will be prompted to input the remaining, minimum required data, to complete the Property Creation process.
The data fields are:
Property Title - A unique title to help differentiate Properties in the Properties Manager
Address - A Google Maps API validated address for the Property
Customer - The Customer that this Property has been associated with
Property Type - The general categorization of Properties, based upon organization type. The
Property Image - The image which will represent this Property throughout CrewVision. If you do not have an image available, you can use the GoogleMaps system to take a street side image

External Boundaries when Editing a Property:
The next step in the Property creation process is to create a Property Boundary, which is the external geofenced area which surrounds a Property. It is not important to note this area can not overlap any other Property Boundary.
