Dynamic Dispatch Routing lets you control the exact order of jobs for any crew directly from the Dispatch Board. It gives supervisors three flexible ways to sequence work so crews travel efficiently and complete jobs in the preferred sequence.
Accessing Dynamic Dispatch Routing
On the Dispatch Board, locate the crew column you want to adjust. In the header of that column, next to the vehicle or crew identifier, click the black map icon button. This opens the Reorder Jobs modal for that specific crew.
Interface Overview
The Reorder Jobs modal is split into two main areas.
On the left is a numbered list of all properties currently assigned to the crew. Each property shows its address and can be dragged to a new position.
On the right is an interactive map that displays the same properties as numbered yellow pins. The map updates in real time as the order changes.
At the bottom of the modal you will find two primary action buttons: Optimize With Google and Set Route Order On Map, along with Cancel and Save Changes.
Three Routing Methods
Drag and Drop In the left-hand list, click and hold the drag handle on any property and move it up or down. The list order updates immediately and the numbered pins on the map reflect the new sequence.
Optimize With Google Click the Optimize With Google button. CrewVision sends the current set of properties to the Google Maps API, which calculates the most efficient driving route. The left-hand list and map pins automatically update to the optimized order.
Click to Set Routing Click the Set Route Order On Map button. This resets every property to order 0. You then click the pins on the map one by one in the exact sequence you want. Each click assigns the next number in the route. Continue until all properties have been ordered.
Saving the New Order
When you are satisfied with the sequence, click Save Changes in the left column. The new job order is applied globally for that crew on the selected dispatch. The Dispatch Board and any related views update immediately to show the revised sequence.
Important Limitations
Dynamic Dispatch Routing can be used on future dispatches and on the current active dispatch. On a current dispatch, only properties that have not yet been visited can be reordered. Completed or in-progress jobs remain locked in their existing position.
This feature gives supervisors precise control over crew travel paths while keeping the process fast and visual.
